A Burst Expansion Anchor is a tail-expanding, ultra-high tensile strength mechanical anchor. It operates by retracting an internal cone, which forcibly expands the slotted tail segments of a metal sleeve at the bottom of the concrete hole. This creates a "mechanical undercut" lock (simulating an undercut anchor), achieving pull-out resistance far exceeding that of standard expansion anchors (typically 2-3 times higher). Its core value lies in deep embedment (>8 times the bolt diameter), making it suitable for extreme heavy loads, vibration resistance, and impact resistance scenarios.

Key Components:
Slotted Expansion Sleeve: Features 4-6 longitudinal slots at the tail end. Expands to form "gripping fingers". Made of high-strength steel or stainless steel.The
Tapered Cone Plug: The front end is the expansion-driving cone. The central section is the load-bearing threaded stud (designed for internal or external hex drive).
Dual Washer System: Flat washer to distribute pressure + Spring washer to prevent loosening under vibration. This constitutes the critical anti-vibration defense.

Working Principle



Drill & Clean Hole: Drill a hole with a precise diameter (bolt diameter + ~2mm) and depth ≥ 8 times the bolt diameter. Thoroughly clean out the  dust.

Insert to Bottom: Insert the complete assembly (sleeve + cone plug + stud + washers) to the absolute bottom of the hole (Full contact with the hole bottom is imperative!).

Tighten & Expand: Tighten the nut with a wrench → Draws the stud outward → Forces the cone plug backwards, wedging into the slotted sleeve tail → Causes radial expansion ("bursting") of the sleeve tail → Creates a deep mechanical undercut lock.the the

Dual Anchorage: Mechanical undercut lock resists tension (pull-out) + Bolt shank resists shear, providing high-strength bidirectional load capacity.
